Georgette, Zombies, and Music! Coming up this week at St. James Infirmary

Hey guys,

Submit your photos with me!  Hey guys, real quick before the post, I don’t have my phone nor the time at work to take photos of the night.  So I am going to count on you to come up and take a picture with me, and then submit it to this blog!  I have added the submit button to the top of the page.  Every week I will choose and announce a winner on this blog.  Come in on my shift and I will buy you a drink!  Let the games begin!

I know I have been leaving you all hanging, not blogging as much lately.  So much going on, and trying to find time to maintain grounding and balance.  It’s all good, you know, this girl just needs to make sure that she is taking care of things on all levels.

I had my first night of training to close the bar last saturday.  I must say, it’s more my tempo.  I’m a vampire what can I say.  Although I do appreciate all the different shifts.  They keep me on my toes without getting to set in my ways and routine.  I love diversity.

Thought I would share a post with you of all the fun things to look forward to this week.  I’ll also try and do this on mondays, so you know how to plan your week :)  I will then continue with follow up posts after my shifts like I do.  Writing helps me stay grounded.  I love to do it.

So here we go!  My shifts are going to be action packed this week!

saturday sunset

Last night I started my shift pouring: Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier: German Hefewiezen, paired with such an awesome conversation about communication, sexuality, and the roles sexuality plays in our lives.  When was the last time you had a conversation with your lover about what you like, what you are curious about, and what you want to try next time you are together?  Conversations lead to beautiful explorations.  Have you ever taken the time to observe other diverse sexual lifestyles, and just out of curiosity or inclination, desire to try something new?  As adults we do have a place to discuss our sexual appetites with ourselves, our lovers, or just in conversation with friends.  I honestly believe and have experienced myself that when we can understand what really makes us tick, and we can be honest to ourselves and others about it, our sexuality evolves into such beautiful and fulfilling connections.  Care to share your thoughts, questions, and start a dialogue in the comments?

Then there was the most beautiful sunset, the air was calm, and there was such a magical warm and fuzzy feeling.  It’s amazing!  It really is.

Then guess what you guys, guess who was in town sitting on my bar??  Kendra!!!  She came in with Nick and we got to catch up in person after 10 months or her adventures out of reno.  It was so great to see her, and hug her, and catch up.  Of course there is so much more to get into, but it was such a treat to spend some time with her and Nick, discussing all kinds of things while drinking they drank jameson and Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier: German Hefewiezen: blogging topics, community growth and development, dr. sketchy, jewelry, clothing, etc.  It’s so great to have her back in reno, I hope you will all get a chance to connect with her soon!

                                                    **FIREWORKS**

Did you know that each time the Reno Aces win a game we get to watch the fireworks from our deck!  Did you also know that we have a happy hour special for Reno Aces.

“Open a tab and show your Aces Tickets, before, after, or during a game and you will receive our normal Happy Hour prices on all of your drinks…..ALL SEASON LONG!!!”

Another fantastic ending to my week!  I’m doing an even longer week next week, I’m covering on tuesday again for Trivia night, and then the norm, wed, thurs, friday, and saturday.  Hope to catch you at the Infirmary.

have a beautiful holiday weekend you guys!

and please remember to Vote if you have a minute

The night started out with a visit from two of my Bully’s customers from 10 years ago!  Seriously made my night and left me feeling so silly and grateful for all of the adventures I’ve had here in reno.  I worked at Bully’s Sports Bar for 9 years by the way, and if anymore of you are reading this, I would love to see you at the Infirmary!  Just sayin……Come in for a hug and some adult beverages!

I was offered Saturdays at the Infirmary.  I confirmed with sjo when I got home, and we both agreed that a third shift at the infirmary is a great move for us.  I’ll have more details on when I start soon.

We had a great ‘pop’ of bodies fill the bar! I was barely able to walk around all of the patrons while cocktailing later in the night.  The greatest thing about it though, is that people are so nice, they move out of my way, and don’t mind at all when I need them to provide a path for me!  I LOVE it!

It was truly a treat when all of the members of Buster Blue showed up!  My first night of training on the bar was with one of the band members!  Buster Blue is an amazing Folk type band here blossoming and spreading their wings here in reno.  They are opening up for Beats Antique at The Grand Sierra Friday May 13th!  They are so excited and it will be a spectacular show!   Come in for pre-game at the infirmary with me before you go rock out to amazing music!  I’ll be working and would love to feel your love and excitement as you head to the show!

I’m so grateful for my job!  I’m able to work, bring in an income that supports this expansive adventure that sjo and I are on, visit friends, and have social time all in one! It’s pretty much the only place I’m out and about out lately, so if you are missing me like I am missing you, please come on in and visit! I would love to see you.

*don’t forget I’m putting shout outs for thursday night gatherings.

have a great weekend darlings!  I’m back to internet life………….

xoxo
