let’s bust a move!

* follow me on instagram, I do my check in’s for work there, plus share some of my adventures.

Last night was phenomenal!  Way to Represent Reno!  Dayum.  Pete and I had a great time catching up and hanging out in the early part of our shift, and then BAM! CAPOW! ZAP!!  The storm came on.

I love it when the energy picks up and all I can do is just do it!  I saw so many people I wanted to share a hug and love with, and I hope you all know how much I love you!  But a girl has got to work and hold up her part in the magnificent team that I work with.

Besides shone and sarah with boho, I’ve never had anybody at a bar like the team I do at St. James Infirmary.  People who always have my back while I am working, as I do theirs.  Every single day, for the past year, it’s amazing!  I cherish it so deeply!!

The bands came on, I really liked it! Wow!  yay for Sylvan and Shane!  I had no idea that Sylvan sang!!!  Rowr!  What a night!  Fresh new sounds are always emerging out of Reno, it’s spectacular!

It’s friday, Jamie and I are going to rock it. Come on down and blow off some steam with us.

and by the way, if I did not have the team like I do, there is no way in this world I would want to work another beer crawl!  I’ll be killing zombies left and right tomorrow night, let’s do this!

Playing on the Jukebox:  A Tribe Called Quest: The Infamous Date Rape

Last night I stopped by the store to pick up some english cucumbers.  Our summer seasonal cocktails are coming to an end.  However they always make perfect photo moments!

What’s going on Reno?  Are you enjoying these few last days of this amazing fall weather?  I hope so!  I’ve enjoyed Dogfish Punkin Ale.  Order one the next time you drop in to the Infirmary.  It’s Amazing!

The seasons are changing.  What plans do you all have for the winter?   What are you looking forward to exploring? Feel free to leave your answers in the comments, or better yet, come tell me at the bar.

It’s Friday, I’m in at 5pm tonight.  Come on down and let’s have some fun.  And in case you missed my updated bar schedule: check it out

Playing on the Jukebox:  Amy Winehouse-You Know I’m No Good

Thursday: I arrive on the bar at 5pm with Ty (My Flag is On Fire/Elephant Rifle).  Art and Jamie are sitting on the bar having a drink.  It always feels like family when I work.  I love it.

Jamie breaks out with an amazing history lesson, and I wish I was taking notes.  That woman has so much information in her beautiful mind.  It’s amazing!  Jamie you are going to make one of the worlds best history teachers ever.  I wish you were my teacher when I was in school.

We put a new beer on tap last night.  Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga “the firefly”, a spicy belgian pale ale.  It’s amazing!!  I sold so many last night.  The perfect beer for Fall.

Caught up with Ty over the night.  Talked about things and movies and information that blows our mind.  We both dig stuff like that.  Somehow we started talking about spiraling and I asked him if he had ever heard of Nassim Haremein and Crossing the Event Horizon.  I’m going to bring it to him so he can watch it.  I think Ty is really going to enjoy it.

Marshall selected a movie for the night.  Diehard.  What a movie = )

Snow is falling up in the mountains.  Everybody is talking about skiing and snowboarding.  I’m hoping to make it up to the mountain this year.  We’ll see.  Find me a warm and fuzzy place to hang out when I’m not skiing and I’ll be there ;).  (wine and hot tubs)

I worked till about 10:30 last night.  Felt like having a glass a wine, with Leilani, Ducky, Nathalie, Adam, Jordan, Zak, Christian and Shone.  Carried on conversations about Costa Rica, Music, Poems, and visited with friends that worked on the temple out at burning man.  Aric, it was great seeing you babe!

It’s my friday, come on in and say hello my loves! I’m in at 5pm

New SpecialsSt. James Infirmary’s Educated Drinker’s Club

Playing on the JukeBox:  The XX- Infinity

Thursday night folks!

Go Wolf Pack!!  First thing on my shift, and the Wells Fargo Staff walks in with their WolfPack support.  So cool.  Did you know the pack has a game this Saturday?  When I say Wolf you say Pack!

Talked with Ty about the Great Basin Food Co-op.  I hope to see lots of you people there.  Should open it’s doors around January, and will continue to develop.   Reno, let’s give our support to this little slice of heaven we have here in Reno.

Reno-be safe.  Keep you doors locked on your homes, and your cars, a little extra time keeping your homestead safe is worth it.

Deschutes Stoic: I tasted this beer last night.  What a punch!  It’s a quadruple and that means just one beer, and it’s going to put you in your warm and fuzzy place.

At one point on my bar, I had a recently divorced man of 22 years and a new blooming relationship of 3 months.  Life is always going to keep existing, make the best of wherever your situation is now.

Discussed Reno Decompression with customers last night.  A great opportunity to check out the reno burning man scene for virgins, or for veterans to reconnect to community.  Shone and I are attending this year, and we are just being participants.  Looking forward to seeing so many of you there.  I can guarantee I’ll be warming up with a beer or so at St. James Infirmary before hand.  Feel free to meet up with us!

I met E from Idaho last night.  He comes to Reno for work.  He told me about Idaho’s best kept secret.  shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  I would tell you but then it wouldn’t be a secret anymore.  I love meeting people!

And finished off with Shone, Stephanie and Christian, a glass of wine, discussing comedy, interns, and establishing confidence in our soon to be padawans.  Life is great!

do remember:  Winter is Coming!

see you on the deck tonight.  You don’t want to miss one of the last nights in the beautiful warm weather.

wiggle wiggle, clap clap!

Tom Waits: Hoist that Rag

::Listen to more of Tom Waits in our fantastic Jukebox at St. James Infirmary::

A great night of conversations, exploring our souls, and enjoying the adventure.  The night provided many opportunities for discussions, thoughts, giggles, and lots of hugs!  I know a night is rocking when the hugs are flowing.

Bret is was great to meet you in person.  I hope you will find our bar here in reno a great place for you to meet new people, and perhaps connect with somebody to help out with your business plan.  It’s a mighty task you are undertaking, I wish you the best!

David, man so great chatting with you.  Thank you for listening, and for continually taking our conversations to deeper and more insightful areas for the two of us.

Ashley, Chad, Val, Michael, Guadalupe, Tony, (Mo), you guys are great group of people! Thank you for providing your hearts, your laughs, and your time and energy with such an incredible Dr. Sketchy Anti Art School Reno Edition.  We had such a great time last night, met new people to bring into our gatherings, to sketch, and to continue to reach out and connect with other like minded artists, sketchers, and those that love live model drawing.

Remember, when you attend a sketching event, next one announcing soon, you will receive a 1 year Free membership to bohocrush!

*Dearest Molly Crabapple, we discussed doing a few dr. sketchy events at burning man 2012, are you gonna be on the playa then? :)

Chad you said it well, continuity, consistency, is key!  I love the way dr. sketchy is growing, and building, and I will have a few more gift certificates and prizes for you shortly.

The deck nights are getting colder you guys.  Better get your last action upstairs while you can.  We all still enjoyed great times together, and enjoying each others company.  It’s not over yet.

I love that UNR is back in session.  So many cool people associated with all things UNR at St. James Infirmary.  It’s incredible!

And what a joy it is to see all of the burners back from their fantastic year.  Everyday, more and more people landing, sharing stories, big smiles, and plans for NEXT YEAR.  I love all the types of people and adventures that I get to share and enjoy at St. James Infirmary.

It’s Friday!!!  Time to meet me up on the deck for some drinks :)  I’m in at 5pm tonight.  I won’t be back for a few shifts, so come and down and get your fix!

p.s. I’m putting together a list of qualifications, needs, and offerings, I’m taking on an intern you guys.  I am going to host some interviews at…. you guessed it. St. James Infirmary.  If any of you are interested. stay tuned.  I’ll be posting the description across all of my networks.  I need a super art community internet ninja, flexible, and available with own transportation.  I’ve got a lot I’m taking on this year!

to the pursuit!
